The South Dakota Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources (DANR) is conducting informal outreach and seeking public input prior to reissuance of a proposed state water pollution control general permit for concentrated animal feeding operations and a proposed water pollution control general permit for concentrated animal feeding operations using DANR's delegated National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) authority.
The formal permit reissuance process will begin after the informal process is complete.
DANR is hosting a virtual informational meeting to provide a summary of proposed permit changes to the public. The virtual meeting will be held on December 13, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. CST using Microsoft Teams.
