Become a Junior Forest Ranger

The Junior Forest Ranger Program is designed to encourage fire prevention ethic in children by making them Junior Forest Rangers.

The Junior Forest Ranger Program is made for Smokey Bear's helpers in kindergarten through 3rd grade. This program is sponsored jointly by your State Forester and the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service.

Sign up to become a Junior Forest Ranger today! Information is also available for parents and teachers.

To become a Junior Forest Ranger, visit the Junior Forest Ranger website. From there, you can download an Adventure Guide. It’s full of fun activities that teach you about forests and will help you become a Junior Forest Ranger. Once you finish all the activities, you can send them the Junior Forest Ranger Official Form. They’ll send your official Junior Forest Ranger pin and membership card.
