4th Grade Water Festivals

SD Water Festivals allow fourth grade students to engage in hands-on activities dealing with water. Before you know it, they can answer questions about aquifers, run-off, non-point source pollution, watersheds, wetland animals, etc. Fourth grade students are the target audience because they can understand the topics being presented and are at a stage of development to adopt positive environmental behavior habits.

We all benefit from water festivals by increased knowledge of water issues. Students become aware of best management practices and South Dakotans gain a more stable and cleaner water supply.
